DESCRIPTION AKA Madagascan Moon Moth or Comet Moth. Beautiful nocturnal long tailed moon moth from the family Saturniidae. There is a marked colour and size difference between the slim tailed male which is a deep golden colour with brown eye spot markings, whilst the adult female is a paler golden colour with wings wider but not as long as the male. This is known as sexual dimorphism.
Stocked infrequently. A must for collectors. These specimens are farmed.
