DESCRIPTION AKA The Central Caper White from the family Pieridae. Bright white with black dots on the outer wing edges highlighted with yellow.
Appias albina - AKA the White Albatross. Crisp pure white coloured wings on these swift-flying Appias spp. Note the sharply curved forewings which allow these butterflies to be one of the fastest flying of the species. Found in Cape York and Northern Territory including Darwin. The female has a more pronounced black edge on the wings.
