DESCRIPTION From the family Buprestidae this is one of the most sought after beetles worldwide, it is endemic to Australia. Measuring only 6cm this jewel beetle has colours that dazzle. Metallic greens, red and yellow. They feed on nectar from a variety of flowers in the upper forest canopy. Photography cannot do justice to the bright colours on this jewel beetle.
