DESCRIPTION Some say the most beautiful jewel beetle in the world with it's metallic gold colouring. This beetle is larger and a brighter colour gold than the Chrysina resplendens. Actual beetle size is 3cm.
It is rare to stock such an extensive collection of this beautiful genus. Originating from South America these scarab beetles are difficult to source, highly seasonal and expensive to stock as only small quantities are available on permits. The larvae feed on rotting logs, while the adults are seen feeding on foliage. The colours are absolutely unbelievable ranging from a pure metallic gold through to a green tinged silver.
