They often fly above or on the edge of the canopy, frequently along rivers and the side of the road, and are commonly attracted to gardens. As it opens and shuts its wings in flight, the flashing of it's bright blue can be seen from several hundred meters away. Its caterpillar feeds on the pretty 'Pink Evodia' tree that can be found along the roadsides. Various races of the species are found in # Indonesia, # Papua New Guinea, # the Solomons, as well as the subspecies joesa in northern Queensland Australia. When perched, the iridescent blue is hidden by the still attractive but darker underwings. They often fly above or on the edge of the canopy, frequently along rivers and the side of the road, and are commonly attracted to gardens. As it opens and shuts its wings in flight, the flashing of it's bright blue can be seen from several hundred metres away. Its caterpillar feeds on the pretty 'Pink Evodia' tree that can be found along the roadsides. This Australian butterfly is the most popular framed butterfly we have in stock and great as a present for International visitors. These scorpions have a tendency to be aggressive and live under rocks, fallen tree logs or burrows. They are found under logs, rocks and in shallow burrows in earth banks. There are also desert species that construct deep spiral burrows in desert sand. Scorpions are mostly nocturnal but they can be active during the day, especially during prolonged wet weather. Scorpions tend to be larger and more venomous in the northern parts of Australia. The largest Australian scorpions can grow to 12 cm long, but many forest dwellers are only small. - See more at: http://australianmuseum.net.au/scorpions#sthash.lI0BiRy9.dpuf

Australian scorpions can give a painful sting which can cause inflammation and pain for several hours. First aid for a sting is to apply a cold pack and to seek medical aid if pain persists. It is also a good idea to try to catch the scorpion and have it identified. The scorpion usually seen in houses is the small Marbled Scorpion. To avoid being stung by a scorpion, wear good gloves and shoes in the garden and don't leave things lying around on the floor in the house or garage. Reduce invertebrate habitat by covering compost and garbage, and cleaning up building materials around the house. Scorpions are great pest controllers in the garden, so if one is found in the house, collect it carefully in a jar and remove it to a safe distance, rather than killing it. - See more at: http://australianmuseum.net.au/scorpions#sthash.lI0BiRy9.dpuf

COMES IN RECYCLED CARDBOARD GIFT BOX

body has small area eroded -some dust bottom of frame - see image of actual item with red arrow

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0778/3153/6811/files/BAPCAV_Pandinus_cavimanus_2__08306.1629184412.1280.1280.jpg?v=1782207477
graphium-milon-7-special
Graphium milon # 7 ( special )

SPECIES Graphium milon

ORIGIN Australasia zone

FRAME 12.5x12.5.5xD3cm

cm Made from recycled products.

DESCRIPTION Pretty chains of sea blue triangle markings set on a black background.
