DESCRIPTION AKA Thorny Devil. Huge thorny stick insect native to Papua New Guinea. Fabulous camouflage on this phasmid with brown leaf like body parts which resembles twigs or leaves on a tree and their eggs could be mistaken for seeds, and juveniles often mimic ants.
The males are slightly smaller than the females but differ in that they have thorns on their hind legs
