DESCRIPTION AKA Macleay's spectre / Australian walking stick. This spiny leaf insect is endemic to Australia which is home to approximately 150 species of phasmids out of 3,000 species known worldwide. The amazing camouflage allows them to go unnoticed when perched on native plants. These are often kept as pets and are easily raised in capitivity. The females live up to 18months while the males live 6-8 months approximately.
We only have a few specimens ( that had passed away ) which were from a local breeder here in QLD.
