DESCRIPTION AKA Flower beetle. Bright forest green markings on the elytra on this huge beetle. These beetles belong to the family Scarabaeidae and have wonderful colourations which may vary - the male is normally bigger than the female and exhibits forward protruding horns. The male is approximately 80mm whilst this female is approximately 60mm. They are often kept as pets and can be reared by enthusiasts. In the wild they feed on tree sap and the larvae reside in the compost which forms inside decomposing logs. Stunning specimens.
