DESCRIPTION Stunning bronze coloured South American Morpho. Tinged with pale golden bronze spots on outer wings which have a wingspan of up to 13cm. The genus name Morpho comes from an Ancient Greek epithet, roughly "the shapely one", for Aphrodite, goddess of love and beauty.
