DESCRIPTION Bright emerald green and black wings. Ornithoptera are the largest of all butterflies. The genus Ornithoptera dervies its name for the Latin - " Birdlike ". It is easy to see why these large butterflies could sometimes be mistaken for birds as they float past on huge wings.
It is a very beautiful butterfly and one we are hoping to be able to stock all year round.
Currently our supply is strictly limited. This butterfly is captive bred in their country of origin and has been imported with permits.
