DESCRIPTION AKA The Common Cruiser. Rust / burnt orange colourations in the male of this butterfly from the family Nymphalidae. It is very much a sun-loving species and generally keeps to forest edge habitats e.g. riverbanks, roads and village gardens where it feeds on rotting fruit.
