DESCRIPTION AKA Dagger-toothed Long-nosed Fruit Bat. This orange headed bat has a wingspan of 20-21cms and can be found in Northern Australia. It is found in both primary and secondary tropical moist forest, it has also been reported from paperbark woodlands, mangroves, swamp forest, plantations, rural gardens and urban areas. It usually roosts as single animals, or in small groups, under large leaves (such as palm fronds), under branches and loose bark, in bamboo or in abandoned buildings. The females give birth to a single young three times per year. Wild populations are numerous and this bat is a common widespread species.
Rhinolophus acuminatus - AKA Acuminate horseshoe bat. From the family Rhinolophidae. It was described 1871 by German naturalist Wilhelm Peters. Its species name "" is Latin for "pointed." It is nocturnal , roosts in small colonies and is found resting in caves or under palm leaves. It is a pale grey brown with pointed nose.

Care
All frames are professionally prepared and fumigated for a minimum of six months prior to sale. While every precaution is taken, museum mites may occasionally occur.
Prevention is better than the cure! To help protect your collection, we strongly recommend placing your display in the freezer for one week each year. Regular inspection and monitoring are also recommended to help preserve your specimen for many years to come.
To minimise fading, avoid direct or reflected sunlight. Please also protect your display from extreme fluctuations in temperature and humidity.
Glass may shatter if dropped. Hang only using the hook provided.
